The first induction ceremony of KIYAH took place on January 23, 2022. KIYAH is an association which operates under the aegis of the Honorary Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hyderabad.

The induction ceremony started off by Bariqa, (Literary Head of the Indian team) who introduced the association and introduced the guests.

The event started off by Mr. Suresh Chukkapalli sir, giving a speech and welcoming KIYAH.

Bariqa along with the Korean Literary department head, Jaewon Lee, introduced KIYAH and its logo which was followed by speeches from our special guests – Mrs. Jang Yeong Ah, Mr. Dongneem Koo and Ms. Aparna Achanta.

Fazila then began the induction ceremony by introducing the Indian and the Korean KIYAH team.

Chandana (Vice President) then announced that KIYAH has started taking applications for recruiting new members.

Following it, various singing and dancing performances were performed along with an Artwork showcase, a fun Origami lesson, a PowerPoint – throwing light on the Korean culture, a Taekwondo demonstration and an Indian folklore narration to wrap the performances up.

Fun quiz questions were asked to the viewers on the YouTube stream where the top 3 winners would get a personal, free KIYAH Tee.

The ceremony was concluded with Abigail (President – Indian team) and Youngbin (President – Korean team) stating their vote of thanks.
